The article treats the phenomenon of the denominative variation in terminology. This phenomenon constitutes a relatively new tendency in the terminology and originates from socioterminology and results from corpus based terminography. The present article presents this new variational tendency and seeks to demonstrate how the tendency is modifying the terminographical practice and its descriptions.
