The complicated derivation system of the Russian verb is one of the most difficult subjects for translators from Russian into Spanish. Different theories have tried to explain this problem. The most interesting theory is that of the modifications and mutations (Dokunil M., Miloslavski I.G. 1980, 1981, Petrujina E.V. 1994). In this article the theory of the modifications and mutations is applied to the semantic field of verbs meaning destruction in Russian. The result of the analysis has been the systematisation of the modifications and mutations of the verbs meaning destruction. In this article the rules for translating into Spanish the modifications and mutations have also been defined.
