Language is wholly permeated by culture and it is impossible to remove its cultural dimension, thus, translation is communication not only between two languages, but also between two cultures. In our normal translation practices, namely between Chinese and Portuguese, it is possible to see, through many examples, that often to translate correctly from one language into another, what is at stake aren’t language aspects but culture aspects.
