Abstract
In this article the author tries to reach some conclusions from the analysis of the lexical problems she found when writing her thesis: Problemas de interpretación y traducción en Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. As indicated by the title, the author’s aim was to find and solve the problems of interpretation and translation in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the last poem of the so-called Alliterative Revival. To this end, the author collated nineteen editions and fifteen translations in order to compare and carefully consider every possible interpretation. These are sometimes contradictory and, therefore, debatable. In this article the author focuses on the lexical ambiguity found in the poem.
