After a brief introduction on the translation of religious documents, the author embarks upon some problems with the text of the Lord’s Prayer in connection to the Greek text. Next, the paper looks into the reasons for retaining traditional renderings. Finally, the author embarks upon how to overcome obstacles in producing accurate translations of texts with long and sensitive traditions.
