This monograph discusses translations of poems by the Belgian poet Karel Van de Woestijne. First of all, the author discusses all languages in which the work of Van de Woestijne has been translated: at the time of publishing (1979), his work had been translated in sixteen languages, including French, German, English, but also Esperanto, Hungarian, Russian and Greek. In the following chapters the author focuses on German translations of the work of Van de Woestijne, comparing the original Dutch text with the German translations. Finally, a bibliography of all the translated work is made available.
