Abstract

This monograph is a collection of papers in which the author tries to explain new insights into translation and new ways of studying it. The author's field is basically that of the translation of literature but many of his findings are valid for translation in general. Toury does not want to provide a rigid set of rules to carry out perfect translations, there is no fully integrated theory.
