This work offers a theoretical reflection on the translation process which is seen as the rethinking of massages and as a communication act. This book highlights three levels of the matter: the level of the human experience, the level of the linguistic systems and that of style. In this book, the author distances himself from the principles of information transfer between two languages and two cultures. He evaluates the efficiency of translation exercises in translation teaching.
