The author talks about the pleasure one experiences while translating poetry. He expresses the satisfaction one can find in searching rhymes which are as suggestive as those in the original poem. Next, the author treats the importance, in poetic translation, of a correct splitting of translation units and gives examples of translated poetry split up in several parts. Besides that, the author also treats problems related to the translation of dialects. The article ends by giving a reflection on the eternal opposition between faithful translation and free translation.
