Abstract

Translation and conference interpretation are at the heart of communication and can’t be studied without referring to communication. Almost every research investigates the double role of the translator: that of the receiver and of the sender. Researchers have focused on the principal moment in the translation process, situated in between the reception (comprehension) and the emission (re-expression), i.e. deverbalisation or transcoding. Many studies have been written on decoding and the comprehension of meaning, but only few researchers have focused on the passage from the abstract meaning to the concrete expression. This is one of the aspects of the authors’ research in this article.
