Abstract

Victor Hugo's theatric productions were highly acclaimed in Spain and he was considered as the perfect representative of French Romantic drama. By examining the Spanish translation of his play Marie Tudor, the present article attempts to look at the problems of translating theatric texts and to formulate the characteristics of a good theatric translation.
