The article focuses on translation excersises and their compilation. The author looks at various texts types and various levels of competence of students dealing with LSP texts (medical, legal, technical and economic). The author advises to group translation problems thematically, before addressing concrete texts. Several suggestions for drawing students' attention to translation problems have been offered. The need to establish the link between translation theory and practice has been emphasized.
