Abstract
In this article the author takes up Rosemary's Arrojo's thought on the struggle for power between the author and the reader as exemplified in the Brazilian writer Guimarães Rosa's novel Grande Sertão: Veredas in an attempt to go a step further in her reasoning. The author believes that in turning the cobweb of power and solidarity to the content and meaning of what Rosemary Arrojo wrote, we may not only conclude for the untranslatability of Grande Sertão: Veredas but also its very translatability.
