Abstract
The aim of this article is to show how audible the voice of twelve Polish translators of The Little Prince is in Polish schools. Publisher’s peritexts (covers, title pages, half-titles, forewords, afterwords, footnotes) and “school” epitexts concerning the book (published texts containing analysis of the story) are examined, along with research epitexts (academic papers on Polish translations of The Little Prince). The analysis of the latter can determine whether one of the twelve Polish versions of the book is considered to be qualitatively superior by Translation Studies scholars and could be recommended to school teachers and pupils.
