Abstract
In this paper, M.K.C. Uwajeh examines the modalities for teaching translation to language scientists in linguistics. The author explains the rationale for such a course of study, to determine what its content should be, and how it could be conducted so as to be effective. Uwajeh emphasizes the usefulness of translational activity as a tool for linguistic insight into the workings of the source languages.
