This web site accompanies The COLT Observation Scheme: Digital versions and updated research applications (2nd revised edition) by Nina Spada. The first section consists of three interviews about COLT. In the first interview, Nina Spada discusses the history and evolution of the observation scheme, and how the second edition of the COLT book builds on the original published in 1995. In the second interview, Noriaki Katagiri describes the development and use of Numeric COLT Part B. In the third interview, Hiroki Ishizuka speaks with a teacher about the benefits of using Digital COLT Part A to analyze and reflect on teaching practices.
The second section of the website provides a video tour of Digital COLT Part A. Hiroki Ishizuka illustrates how to access the platform COLAV-E and use Automatic COLT Part A to code instructional practices and procedures.
