У статті мова піде про бібліометрію як підгалузь соціальних досліджень науки, що зосереджена на аналізі наукових публікацій. Стаття має подвійне спрямування: з одного боку, вона ознайомлює з основними поняттями, підходами та методами, що стосуються бібліометрії загалом, а з іншого, розповідає про конкретне застосування перекладознавства і його внесок у цю сферу досліджень.
