Ääneenajatteluprotokolla on tutkimusaineistolaji, jota käytetään empiirisessä käännösprosessitutkimuksessa. Sitä kerätään ääneenajattelumenetelmällä, jota käytettäessä tutkimukseen osallistuvaa henkilöä pyydetään suorittamaan jokin tehtävä ja verbalisoimaan kaikki ajatuksensa tehtävän aikana. Osallistujan puhe litteroidaan ääneenajatteluprotokollaksi (TAP eli think-aloud protocol).
