사고발화 프로토콜(Think-Aloud Protocol, TAP으로 약칭)은 번역 과정(translation process) 연구에서 사용되는 데이터의 한 형태이다. 사고발화 프로토콜을 만드는 방법은 흔히 ‘사고발화법’(thinking aloud) 또는 ‘동시발화법’(concurrent verbalization)으로 불린다. 이 실험에 참여하는 사람들은 특정 작업을 수행하는 과정에서 머릿속에 떠오르는 생각을 모두 다 발화해야 한다. 사고발화의 내용을 문서로 기록한 것이 바로 사고발화 프로토콜이다.
