Tõlkestrateegiad ja -taktikad [Translation strategies and tactics]

Sisukord

Tõlketeadus laenab märkimisväärselt teistelt teadusharudelt, riskides tekitada ebaühtlust terminoloogias, mis avaldub niinimetatud sünonüümide (nt tõlkimine, adaptatsioon, lokaliseerimine), polüseemia (nt kultuur, funktsioon, ekvivalentsus) ja ebaselgete või ebatäpsete mõistetena (nt sarnasus, süsteem, tekst, emakeel). Strateegia on üks neist tõlketeaduse mitmetähenduslikest terminitest, mida ei kasutata mitte ainult erinevatel viisidel, vaid mis näib konkureerivat ka tosina teise terminiga (vähemalt inglise keeles): protseduurid (procedures), tehnikad (techniques), toimingud (operations), muudatused (changes), nihked (shifts), meetodid (methods), asendused (replacements) jne. Kas nende nimetuste taga on iga kord kindel mõiste või on tegemist erinevate enam-vähem sünonüümsete mõistetega?
