Translating for children is getting more and more appealing to scholars all over the world. One example of this is arranging international congresses such as the congresses held on translating for children in Las Palmas 2002, Vigo 2003, and Brussels 2004 as well as writing and editing such publications as a special issue of Meta (2003: 1–2) totally devoted to translation for children.
