Інтерпретативна теорія перекладу (ІТП) – цілісна концепція, що має значний пояснювальний потенціал і ґрунтується на практичному досвіді усного й письмового перекладу. Починаючи із середини 60-х рр. ХХ ст., вона послідовно розроблялась, як для кращого розуміння процесів усного та письмового перекладу, так і для його навчання.
