La dislocation à droite à l’oral en français et en chinois mandarin

Vers une syntaxe comparative

Cet article propose une étude comparative de la dislocation à droite (désormais DD) en français et en chinois mandarin. Après présentation de l’état de l’art, du corpus et de la démarche d’analyse, cinq configurations de dislocation à droite sont examinées successivement : des cas de DD construites à deux locuteurs, des cas de DD accompagnées de marqueurs discursifs ou de particules modales, des cas impliquant des pronoms démonstratifs disloqués à droite, des cas de DD survenant dans des interrogations et, finalement, des cas de doubles dislocations (à gauche et à droite). Les résultats de cette recherche montrent que le pronom zéro et la flexibilité morphosyntaxique favorisent la dislocation à droite sans rappel pronominal en chinois mandarin. Lorsqu’il y a rappel pronominal dans la construction centrale, un effet pragmatique est souvent relevé, ce qui n’est néanmoins pas toujours le cas en français. L’étude, dans son ensemble, confirme la forte dimension pragmatique de la syntaxe du chinois mandarin.
Abstract
This paper presents a comparative study of right dislocations in French and Mandarin Chinese. After outlining previous research in the field, along with the corpus and analytical approach, we examine five successive cases of right dislocations in French and Mandarin Chinese: co-constructed right dislocations accompanied by discourse markers or modal particles, right-dislocated demonstrative pronouns, right dislocations in interrogative constructions, and, finally, double dislocations (left and right) in a corpus including spontaneous spoken language as well as (though to a lesser extent) written representation of speech. Our findings show that zero pronouns and morphosyntactic flexibility facilitate the use of right dislocations without pronominal resumption in Mandarin Chinese. When pronominal resumption does occur in the main clause, it often carries a pragmatic effect, contrary to French. Overall, this research confirms the fact that the syntax of Mandarin Chinese is a pragmatic syntax.
