On the Amsterdam ringway ("Ring Amsterdam") take exit S118 Oostzanerwerf/Tuindorp-Oostzaan. On the Verl.Stellingweg, at the traffic light, turn right onto the Molenaarsweg, following the directions "Tuindorp-Oostzaan/Noord". Follow this road, which makes a left turn, and then is named Cornelis Douwesweg. Keep following this road, passing two roundabouts, until you reach a crossing with traffic lights. At the lights, turn right, onto the Klaprozenweg.
From the center head for Amsterdam-Noord via the IJ-tunnel. Immediately after the tunnel exit to S118 (Noord 100-299). Follow the signs to S118 (Noord 130), the intersection of Cornelis Douwesweg and Klaprozenweg.
The white, tiered building on the left-hand side is where Benjamins is located, on the 6th floor. Unfortunately our building does not have parking space for visitors. However, in most of this area of Amsterdam parking is still free.
By public transport
For public transport options and time tables, please consult the general public transport information site.
A pleasant way to get from Amsterdam Central Station to our office is by ferry. Take the GVB ferry to 'NDSM-werf' (be careful, as this is not the only GVB ferry available). This free ferry departs from the ferry landing at the back of the Central Station every hour at .15 and .45 (and, during morning and evening rush hours, at .00 and .30). It takes just under 15 minutes to reach the NDSM-wharf, which is in 5-10 minutes walking distance from our office. When you leave the ferry, turn left and continue along the footpath and the bridge – and keep right, as in Amsterdam custom this is also used by cyclists! After the car park, turn right and continue along Mt.Lincolnweg until the 3rd crossing. When you have crossed the Tt.Vasumweg, the second building on the right is the building where Benjamins is located.
When exiting the Central Station through the main, city-side, exit, you will find a taxi stand on your right. Please note that taxis in Amsterdam are not always reliable an can be very expensive! Preferably order a taxi from your hotel and try to use the TCA-taxis.
Arriving at Schiphol airport
Taxis in Amsterdam, and in the Netherlands in general, are very expensive. The 15-minute ride from the airport to the city centre will cost EUR 30-40 (including VAT, excluding tip).
There is a good and frequent train connection from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central Station, in the city centre. Train tickets can be purchased from the machines or the ticket windows in the main hall – "plaza" – at the airport. A single ticket is approx. EUR 5. The train ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Please make sure you have a ticket before boarding the train, because no tickets are sold on the train and fines are steep.
