In this final chapter, we will answer our overall research
questions, comparing findings across the various contexts investigated in
the preceding chapters. In doing so, we will point out what voting
motivations, aspects of national identities and ways of recontextualising
original posts are shared across countries and which ones are specific to a
given political context. This comparison will be followed by a review of the
different methodologies that we used and a discussion on how far a given
methodology may have influenced the findings. We will reflect on ethical
considerations before the chapter finishes with a section on the
contributions and limitations of the research and an outlook on possible
future work.
