Explotación didáctica del cómic en la formación de traductores
Adquisición de las subcompetencias lingüística, extralingüística, de
transferencia y estratégica a partir de las viñetas de Le
Chat
Besides being undoubtedly a challenge when translated,
comic books are a text genre which, due to its characteristics, is ideal as
a didactic tool in foreign language and culture teaching, since its use can
help in the acquisition of skills attached to translation competence. The
goal of this paper is, therefore, to showcase its usefulness in linguistic
and cultural training of future translators in the French language
classroom. Specifically, it aims to analyse the peculiarities of the Belgian
comic strip Le Chat and its didactic possibilities
regarding the acquisition of linguistic, extralinguistic and translation
knowledge. To this end, this study will stem from a linguistic corpus
composed of several strips that have a significant number of cultural
references in order to verify what knowledge and skills can be worked on. To
sum up, it seeks to demonstrate the beneficial use of a ludic resource for
training purposes in the field of Translation Studies.
