La metamorfosis del «lirio» (y del «lilio»)
De flor a símbolo
The article is composed of 5 paragraphs plus an
introduction. In the first 4, a history of the «lirio» in language and
literature is presented, showing how this flower has become an aesthetic,
cultural and identity symbol. The aim of this paper is to investigate the
presence and evolution of the «lirio» / «lilio» throughout the history of
Spanish language and literature and to demonstrate how this flower has
become an aesthetic, cultural and identity symbol. The localisation of
occurrences and their contextualisation has been possible thanks to manual
counts and the use of various computer resources (database, tools for
concordance and text analysis, etc.). In the 5 paragraph, some
traductological questions will be raised through the analysis of the Italian
versions of a sonnet by Lorca in which the «lirio» plays a fundamental
role.
