Le Placement Linéaire Des Clitiques Pronominaux Non-Sujets En Français Contemporain

Lidija lordanskaja: The Linear Ordering of Pronominal Non Subject Clitics in Modern French. The author reviews the classical problem of the placement of clitics in French with respect to the order of the source complements. The new element brought into the study is the use of Melcuk's theoretical framework. Dual deep structures that combine the morphology and the prosody of sentences constitute a base set on which mapping on superficial structures is defined. Superficial structures are dependency trees. A system of formal rules is defined and shown to account for the most complex situations described in the literature.
