Chapter 3
Perfect and its relatives in Atayal
This paper is a result of a
typologically-oriented study of the Atayal TMA system. The data is
approached under the framework of the TMA Questionnaire of Dahl (1985). Five markers
that are found in the perfect-related contexts of the Questionnaire
are described in more detail. For each marker it is suggested which
cross-linguistic category type it might represent and how this
language-specific realization fits into known typology for the
category.
