How to keep healthy in seventeen languages
Translating and interpreting in new south wales health care delivery
This paper describes the development of interpreting and translating within the Health Services of New South Wales. Examples are provided of purposes and contexts in which translation and interpreting are used. Some of the difficulties involved in interpreting and translating in this context are described. Criteria for selecting material for various kinds of interpretation or translation are provided.
