In this paper, I claim that unlike spontaneous discourse, in which language deviations tend to trigger instant
evaluations and adjustments, management of intercultural input is relatively free from time restriction and thus allows re-
management at each stage of deviations from norms, noting, evaluation, adjustment and implementation.
