Whether we like it or not, computer-mediated methods are no doubt becoming more and more a part of an oral historian’s toolbox. I describe here one online data collection method – the blog – which is part of the ever-increasing e-research family. I highlight the process, benefits, and challenges of this form of data collection and analysis with one case study, which was undertaken to collect memories and data for my cultural history study: 1960s and ‘70s disco culture in Finland.
